Anonymous
OK We all laughed when BellSouth Communications sent me a "validation" letter that stated that "BellSouth verifies that it has conducted an examination of its records of the account described which disclose that Kathy --- is the subscriber responsible for payment of this account". They are still reporting to Equifax 30 days later. I sent Bellsouth's letter to Equifax for verification. I sent the law suit letter to Bellsouth yesterday. I then receive response from Equifax that they have "verified" the info. as correct. How can Equifax verify that flimsey verification? Should I contact someone higher up at Equifax? If so Whom? This is ridiculous!!! HELP!! I am soooo mad!!!
admin
I'd write Equifax back and ask for the method of verification, which they need to provide you by law if they ask. You might get some valuable clues like "the phone number", "who they talked to" what was said. This is helpful to your case.
