Anonymous
I settled a debt a little while back for half the amount owed. At the time I didn't know I could negotiate the trade line on my credit report.Any advice on getting it removed or reworded?
wert
Keep it really simple. Just say the debt is not yours. You don't want to take claim to anything. You may have to do it a few times, but depending how old it is, you might get lucky. Just stick with it. Persistance and patience!!! Anonymous
So I dispute as not mine with the credit bureaus? And what did you mean by taking claim?
wert
Yes, dispute it with the credit agencies. What I meant by not taking claim is don't admit to anything ever! Say it's not your account, have no knowledge and dispute it. They have to prove it.Don't every tell them it may be yours...
