Anonymous
I hired a law firm to negotiate my balances and barely ended up saving anything. Now I have one more car to settle. I have had my Citibank card for 7 years and I have had a few late payments a few years ago. But now my minimum payment of $735 is due in two weeks. They are calling me like 5 times a day! I have no job, my license was suspended, and then my car was stolen and I owe as much as it is worth. There is no way I will be able to get that much money. I am two months late now. I called to talk to them about settling and they said they only do that for medical emergencies. Should I try to settle with them on my own some other way or hire that law firm again, or hire someone else, or just not pay? How do I start? I know my credit is already a little jacked up because of late payments and the settlements. I would prefer that my credit not be destroyed, but does it even matter now with the other late payments and settlements? I am leaning towards not paying. I really need some help. Also, can www.junum.com help me or are they scammers, too? PS I am in California, if that matters.
admin
I would send them one last letter telling them you have no more cash and can't afford to pay them if they won't settle. Also mention your situation that you have no job or assets. They should leave you alone, at least for the moment.
