when will my score change?

Equifax online hasn't changed my score, even after having like 3 biggies fall off. I still have a beneficial entry that is current and a judgment listed. I'm waiting for 2 collection entries to be removed and working on the others. My problem then will be I will have no credit other than my vehicle on there. Is that going to hurt and keep me down on my score?

524 and pending...UGH

I've been told by others on the boards that the last derogs account for the biggest jump in score. I also had a TU rep tell me this.

From personal experience, I saw my TU score go from 612 to 595 after 3 deletions. 3 more deletions and it stayed at 595. 3 more deletions and it went back to 613.

I am clueless about how it works.

I will say this. Once the last 2 collections came off my EX, it went from 631 to 730 on CE!

Unless you are planning something that requires a high score, I'd concentrate on getting rid of the derogs and let the score take care of itself.

With Equifax, the moment you put it in dispute, they adjust your score (as if it weren't there). When the item is deleted, you get to keep that score. That is why you don't see a change.

For Experian, they leave your score the way it was. The moment something is deleted, *bang*, your score jumps.

I think TU operates the same way.

My Trans Union score was 614 earlier in the year. Since then, I've paid down to $0 on 4 of my 5 credit cards (which accounted for about two-thirds of my total credit card debt, paid off two vehicles ($16k and $23k) and have a new car loan, no negatives (although there is a $100 entry in the "judgements" section) and my score *remains* 614. It just doesn't make a lick of sense.

After all is said and done, now that I've pissed Asset and a few others off, my score dropped on EQ from 677 to 522 (over 100 points ) What do you think about that drop? Also, after disputing a few, they've come back validated to the CR's after sitting dormant for couple of years. Any suggestions now, they seem to be ganging up on me now. The best thing I guess is the SOL is passed on all of them. So at least they can't sue.:(:D I'm so confused, not sure how to feel. Help!!

Welcome crystalp3 :)

You answered your first question by posting on the board ;)

Regarding your credit score...you usually pay extra for that or at the very least when you request a CR you have them include your score.

Did you request a report from all three CRAs? If you didn't do it now.

admin suggest you request them separately instead of the 3 in 1 report.

Also, you may want to read a few more threads on the board after you receive all of your reports.

May I suggest purchasing Kristy's book, "Good Credit Is Sexy". It has everything you need to know about improving your credit!

Good Luck and please feel free to email any of the members if you have a question for them. You have a very knowledeable, extended family here to help you!
