dave38
Has anyone tried to dispute an item saying "This is not my acount, I want a document bearing my signature to verify"?
Anonymous
I'm going to. I have three accounts...according to the creditor. I paid off the account nearly ten years ago. I'm going to force them to prove I had three accounts. BTW, they "discharged" off the other two accounts....not that it says it, but they're stuck on my record for ten years, which indicates a charge off due to bankruptcy. Why else would it stick for so long? I've got my ex-husband looking for the cancelled check. Thank God we're on good terms or I'd be in trouble. admin
That's something you should try sending to the OC, not the CRAs.
dave38
Ya I know just was wondering if the CRA would accept the dispute and do the validation for you.

jjulez
I sent a variation of that line 'not mine, show proof' with a CRA and my results were;1. A letter from the OC stating something like 'after researching your dispute with the CRA, we cannot clearly determine your responsibilty for the account...'2. The CRA 'DELETED'.3. And, ONE HAPPY CAMPER !!! ;)
