Swede
A warm fuzzy welcome to you, jennyjenBefore you start paying off your creditors/collectors, you need to read up on debt validation and different strategies. A little bit of research goes a long way. Although making a payment doesn't extend the 7 year reporting period (nor removes it) it does extend the SOL which is a set amount of time they have to bring legal actions. This varies by state and you can read more on this on the link on top of this page.
