CSC - Houston address

Recommended Posts

Does anyone else here have to deal with CSC? I had a PO Box for them p.o. box 674406 Hou, tx 77267 that I have been using the whole time - I got 2 CRRR letters back today on that p.o.box with address changes to EL PASO!!!! and the mail had a stamp on it "Not Deliverable as addressed - unable to forward" WTF??

Is it common practice to just UP and MOVE a p.o. box like that?

I went and check experians site and the box number is now 674402 - not like they mail guy didn't know that and could have simply dropped it in for me instead of pointing me in the direction of El Paso, Texas!! Now I've got 2 Green Card costs that are blown out the window.

Ugh!!

They handle Equifax in my area - Equifax doesn't really serve all the states - they sub out some areas....mine being one of them. CSC and Equifax share info, so really I have 4 CRA's to deal with. I've found errors between the 2 though (they are supposed to update like every night or so). There are even local creditors that only pull CSC, although they are becoming fewer - it still bites since CSC isn't online and its like giving a kidney to get something from them.

Kimber,

I have to deal with CSC, too. I just got a non response from those jerks that says "po box 674406, Houston, TX 77267-4406". Can you post the new El Paso address in here for me?

Seems like one hell of a shell game - change the PO box so we can't dispute, but keep on generating letters with the WRONG POB listing on it. Seems very fishy to me.

Was there a yellow sticker from the Post Office on your letter you got back? Mine said..

"CSC CREDIT SERVICES - EQUIFAX

P.O. BOX 981222

EL PASO, TEXAS 799998-1222"

Since you got one back to I think I may call them tomorrow and get the scoup. It does sound fishy...

I haven't got one back yet....I keep sending directly to Equifax in Atlanta, and get the responses back from CSC. I think I'm going to go after Equifax on this point as CSC's name is not on the credit records, but Equifax's name is, therefore, I believe by disclosing information to a third party might be wrong. I'm going to send a letter to one of their top officers and dispute the use of CSC and see what happens.

I still think the use of CSC is fishy....something's not right, but I can't put my finger on it. If they've moved, then why continue to print the letters with the Houston address?

But - they've contracted CSC to handle this region and act as their officer in the matter. So, you have yet another CRA to deal with, and creditors can pull direct from CSC and never hit EX.

I don't know what the deal with CSC is. I was too busy today to call them, but I plan on it. Might even call up the good old FTC...
