Anonymous
I recently disputed an item for chase visa. The item was changed to paid, but it also states that it was sold to another lender. Would this still be looked at as a negative item?
admin
Yeah, probably: credit card bills don't get sold typically unless they are in collections.
Anonymous
I've got a word on sold credit cards. Mine wasn't in collections and was in good standing but ended up being sold because the lender went into bankruptcy! Go figure. So when they went under, they put a negative on my credit report that stated 'closed by guarantor'. I got this finally removed from my TU record the other day...yippee!Just because you're in good standing doesn't mean your card won't get sold....the lender has to be stable, too.
