Some success w/ TU

Recommended Posts

I'll have to check the full record, but I got a response back yesterday from TU....five items updated; three of them deletions. Thanks for the advice in here, guys! I'm glad to know there can be positive outcomes!

Now if I could just get EQ and EXP off their fat a$$es and follow suit. BTW...it's over 30 days and I've had no response from EXP....wonder what they're doing? I guess it's about time to go after those guys for awhile....teeheee!! :D

Hi Sakara,

Congrats on the removals :) .

Regarding the over 30-days, there is a follow-up letter advising of 15-days to remove are pay for each violation up to $1000.00 :D .

This letter should have been sent after you received the green card back from the CA.

Do not sit on this!

Hey Kim, long time no hear from ;)

Vonnie,

I did a dumb thing with Experian....didn't send it certified. I know, I can't prove they received it....then again, they can't prove they didn't receive it, either. I'm going to get cracking on a response and remind them they are in violation of the FCRA rule. Somehow...I don't think they really care. <sniffle...> ;)

Sakara,

Nothing done here is dumb, we are all learning and growing :-)

You think you can send the original later with the original date CMRR? At least you would have the letter with the date on it :) . It couldn't hurt to try huh?

Good luck.

I have to share my good news with you all also, with Transunion. 7 negatives accounts deleted! My Score went from 426 to 552 within 30days and no kidding! I can't believe it myself. I only have 2 negatives remain, but I am going to dispute last activity and with the other balance. I wish I was this lucky with eq and ex! I am so happy, because this is my 1st time ever disputing with Transunion.

I too have had much success with TU. For me, they seem the easiest by far, they also have deleted alot of things from my CR that the other 2 haven't even bothered with. Hoping for some good things from them after ChOD is done. If not, will be firing off tons of validation letters.

Thank You, Thank You....LOL. I only wish EXP and EQ could be as easy as TU. Hopefully I will have all of my disputes deleted with TU. Good thing is, they by far are the worst of the three, so I guess it's a good thing that I'm getting all of these deletions. Will be starting a couple of validation letters off this weekend.

I have not had good luck with Trans Union or Equifax :( However, Experian does a lot on the phone :)

Just today I received a response from my lone reporting CA (AFNI)...I sent a DV letter and they could not validate :p You know what happened.... "This letter is to verify that we have filed a request with the credit bureaus to delete the account listed above from your credit report" :D Woohoo!!

Thanks admin... and fellow members of the board...I could not have done this without you ;) :soppy:

What do you mean not under collections just there  . On Experian, TU and EQ, AFNI was located on the first page and described as something that could negatively affect your credit...That's why I wanted them Off!

Thank goodness for the FCRA and this board :D

Jack, I think you need to call them and correct this info. Follow-up with a letter and ask if you can fax it to them becuase it is creating a problem with you being approved for credit

:) Correcting the personal information is sometimes as important as the credit history. You should also receive an updated credit report ;)
