Anonymous
I have sent 3 registered letters to a collection agency (First Credit International) Akron,OH., requesting debt validation for 2 old medical bills back in 1996-1997. I have recieved NOTHING back except the signed green card. They are NOT pursuing collection on these accounts that are $173 and $280. They are listed on my credit reports. I told the collection agency to remove them, advised them that they are in violation of FDCPA on 2 violations. Not informing collection agencies of dispute and not verifying the debts. I threatened small claims lawsuit. Still NOTHING. What is the next step? Contact Credit Bureaus with this proof or file small claims suit? OR BOTH? Where do I sue them, state where I live or the state where they are located? Thanks
