sorry here is the letter

Dear Credit Bureau,

This letter is a formal complaint that you are reporting inaccurate and incomplete credit information. The Fair Credit Reporting Act ensures that bureaus report only 100% accurate credit information. Every step must be taken to assure the information reported is completely accurate and correct.

The following information therefore needs to be reinvestigated. I respectfully request to be provided:

" Proof of this alleged item, specifically the contract, note or other instrument bearing my signature. (Simply verifying my name and social security number will not suffice in clearing this matter up.)

" Proof of the dates of activity. Supplying an answer of unknown is not accurate reporting of my credit history.

Failing that, the following item must be deleted from the report immediately!

Also all the inquires need to be removed from my file as I have not given permission to the companies to view my account and its not a permissible purpose.

The above listed items are completely inaccurate and/or incomplete, and are a very serious error in reporting. Please delete this misleading and incorrect information, and supply a corrected credit profile to me.

Under federal law, you have 30 days to complete your reinvestigation. Be advised that the description of the procedure used to determine the accuracy and completeness of the information is hereby requested as well, to be provided within 15 days of the completion of your reinvestigation.

This matter is very serious in nature and should not be taken lightly. Federal law gives consumers many avenues of recourse against agencies who fail to report accurate information.

I hope this matter can be settled quickly and completely.

Here's my two cents, and please don't think I'm being critical but you asked for feedback. I think when dealing with the CRA's, one must be very very specific on what you're disputing and what you want them to do. They are first of all, not the brightest people and second, as we know they're not too eager to remove things and will therefore take any opportunity to dismiss/prolong your dispute. Whether that's permitted or not is besides the point becuase we all know they do s*** illegally and get away with it.

What information? You didn't specify.

CRA's don't have to provide you with proof such as contracts and accounting. All they need to do is maintain reasonable procedures to ensure maximum accuracy and conform with your request should the furnisher fail to reinvestigate.

Are you sending one letter for each account? If so, I wouldn't say in each letter that all inquiries are wrong. Also when disputing the inquiries, I would list them by name and date.

Again, please don't think I'm being mean- I would just hate for you to go through all this effort for them to spit it back to you claiming you're being frivolous and putting you on their priority handling list

Personally, I'd go by the KISS principal when dealing with these people....
