Jackal
Is Innovis not offerring free credit reports if you have been denied credit?? o they not have to do this??
creditfix
DH and I both sent Innovis disputes. They sent us back letters very quickly saying the items had been deleted. However, they did not provide us with updated credit reports. That's a thousand dollars each I believe!
Jackal
See, I called to order one, and all it says is to send money and they will send it, no phone ordering, no online ordering. But, They have to supply one if I have been denied credit in the last sixty days right??Ill send a letter. See what happens.
creditfix
Yes, they have to send you one free of charge if you have been denied credit in the past 60 days.
Anonymous
They must send you one free per year regardless, plus one free if you have been denied BASED ON INFO CONTAINED IN THEIR REPORT within the last 60 days. (I'm in GA so I get 2 free per year).I wrote for mine, had it within two weeks, disputed via fax, had the results back in one week, everything was deleted. I did not get a new copy but I assume that is because there is NOTHING to send me (as in no info on file)...I'm not too worried about it... I may write a letter and try to get some $$ but they deleted EVERYTHING so I like them.

jayl72
thanks alot, do they also provide a credit score?
Anonymous
no, no score... I don't think they use a scoring system at all...I think they are more of a mailing list purifier than anything else...
jayl72
got my Innovis report back, one page, one account, which is a negitive account. This is crazy, this is a waste of time. I will dispute this quickly. On the letter they provided a phone number, 1-800-457-0247, fax 281-504-2594.
Anonymous
Just fax it, they should delete within like a week.....
creditfix
Yes, they should DELETE it right away. They deleted all of mine and DH's almost immediately - didn't send updated report though.
Anonymous
I think that once they delete there is nothing to send and that's why they don't send an updated report...
Anonymous
I wrote to Innovis and requested a report. Since I had no denials (haven't applied recently) I sent a $9 check. (Still not cashed and it's been 20 days). The report arrived in just under 10 days.Only had 3 accounts -- 2 were B of A, and one was a mortgage. That's all.The CR itself is clearly presented in "grids" and uses plain text rather than cryptic codes. One account per 8-1/2 x 11" sheet of paper, front side only. They also included 2 pages of "Your Rights Under the Credit Reporting Act" and a one page "Consumer Request for Investigation" fill-in-the-blank page. Again, everything on front-side only. Very curious.I see little value in them. I suppose they are "purifying" credit offers en masse before some creditor mass mails new solicitations. It's unfortunate that it gives us one more place to have to check to see what is being reported about us.The footer of the report had this contact info : POB 21927 Houston TX 77218-9297 .^. 800.457.0247 .^. FAX 281-504-2594The report also included this note: "We are developing a credit database and currently Innovis does not provide on-line credit reports to businesses where you apply for credit, insurance, or employment."
