Anonymous
Ok , i have a question , I check my experian credit report the other day and it does not match equifax at all. Some items that have been delete a while are still showing up. Now are all three reports should be somewhat the same, because mine are way off I mean not even close. Equifax has my score 577 Experian has mine 586 . What should i do
admin
Each credit bureau is its own, stand-alone, for profit company, which must follow government regulations. Creditors don't have to report anything to any bureau. Some only report to one bureaus as a matter of cost savings, etc.
Anonymous
Experian seems to take a lot of points for inquires. If you want to see some major results in score. Have a few inquires deleted. On my Experian report, I have no charge offs and no collections, I'm using less than 40% of my credit limits. I have 3 late pays. My last late pay was 10 months ago, which was 30 days. My score is only 616. The only way for me to gain more points is to pay down the debt to a lower balance and delete 4 inquires. I've had 12 inquires in the last 2 years. Now I know the secret. watsupwiththat
I think it is criminal that we have to deal with 3 different credit agencies. Why isn't there one central clearinghouse for credit information? Its ridiculous enough to have to keep track of and correct errors in three different places but what about those who have their identities stolen? They should be able to get it straightened out quickly and efficiently at ONE Source. The government needs to step in and do something about this. When you think about it, its just ludicrous and there is no ethical reason to continue this way!!! Sorry....I just needed to vent; what do YOU think? admin
Well, each of these companies are for profit companies - nothing says that there can't be 100 of them, as long as they abide by federal regulations (what a laugh, as the ones we have don't). But you're right, our rights as consumers are being infringed on.

herauntsis
OMG, perish the thought -- can you imagine? Writing hundreds of letters to hundreds of bureaus? Bite your tongue!
