Anonymous
Well - I called EX a couple days ago and told them they were over their time alloted to verify and to delete.... and big surprise....I just rec'vd an email my disputes are done and all have been VERIFIED - they were over the time limit by 10 days!!! Interesting since they all had inaccurate info as well --- so moral of the story for me...don't call unless you want them to screw you. This stinks they are messing with your life and can do as they please? How is this possible..I guess from here on when I dispute I'll just wait it out and hope for deletion. Another question - when you've filed a bk and they report it on your report - why do they have bankruptcy/charge off or bankruptcy/90 days late - aren't they just supposed to report incl. in bankruptcy? Can I fight this? When can I re-dispute...the info is incorrect! Any suggestions on what to do next are appreciated..Thanks,From a depressed ravioli... Twinkie
Wonder if this is still happening...
c m chase
Oh yes!! Absolutely still happening.I just caught CSC doing the same thing (going over their allotted time limit). But....I did it differently....I wrote a letter to their legal specialist and demanded they take care of it. They did. All items disputed were deleted (like they legally had to).You just have to do it right. Learn from your mistakes. (And in this case - other's mistakes too)

pgorman30
I'm having a similar problem with Equifax. They supposedly started their investigation 24 days after it was supposed to be finished! Do you know how i can find out who their legal specialist is?? I'm not having much luck with the other folks i ahve been dealing with.
CLM
Yup, you live and learn. I've learned always, dispute and/or follow-up via CMRR. That little green card can really save the day. From what I understand, by law, 30 days is all they have to verify. I had a situation where a CA was demanding money. However, they couldn't verify after I DV'd them. I waited the 30 day period then shot off a letter to all three CRA along with a copy of the green card. Happy to say, the item was deleted. Oh well, just wanted to share my experience. I wish you the best of luck on your credit repair journey.
momof5
Oh, EX treated my disputes differently..... The day AFTER i did an online dispute, I was notified that my results were in and everything was verified!!! BULLS*T! Now they say, already disputed X2 so you cannot dispute again. CLM
Sorry to hear that momof5. Sometimes those CRAs can be real jerks. Especially Ex! Don't give up on the dispute process. There's more than one way to skin a cat
