Anonymous
I keep disputing an OC reported account, stating that the Date of Commencement of Delinquency immediately preceding the collection action is incorrectly reported and/or used. The CRAs are either verifying as mine, or 'REMAINS' .. you know the drill.I respond with requests for procedures used, and demand to know the Date of Commencement that they so quickly verify. ALL the responses to date from ALL CRAs fail to provide me with this date. They don't refuse to provide it, just never mention it in responses. An EXP phone rep told me he'd never heard of such a date.Since accounts reported after 12/29/1997 must include this information, why am I having so much difficulty getting answers from the CRAs? We're supposed to be able to learn of any and everything in our files, right? [Edit by Bull_Durham on Sunday, January 19, 2003 @ 09:03 AM]

I wonder where the CRA find these people. I'd write them and include section 605 C 1. Tell them that if they can't understand it they should either send $1000.00 for reporting inaccurate info, delete it, or update the tradeline with the correct date. You might try and give them a date that is beyond the 7 year limit.
