Disputing

Recommended Posts

I have about 30 or so negs (HEY! Stop laughing! that's better than I started with which was 38 on each one!) to get off of each CR. I just disputed 4 items w/ TU last week. So, can I now dispute the next 4 a week later since they are 4 different accounts? Or should I wait until this dispute is over????????

If I had my druthers, I would dispute 4, next day fax in 4 more, next day fax in 4 more, etc, until they were all disputed. But will they send back the "frivolous" crap since they already have 1 dispute going for me right now?

They say to dispute on at a time, but I have disputed more than 10 before. Just a matter of being very clear in your communication and itemizing everything out.

That way they may address a bunch all at once, and you put them all in the 30 day period, instead of them trying to push back their investigation back for each dispute mailed seperately.

When I have disputed, sometimes they would miss investigating one or two, but if they can they will address all of them. I idea is not to be waiting years just to get everything disputed.

If it is like a bankruptcy - or multiple ones with the same problem. Then tell them what is wrong & list all creditors under the same issue.

Careful doing that with TU. If they receive another piece of mail from you, even if it's not related to the original dispute, they'll try to invoke their "15 days because of additional info received". I've heard it's a PITA to get them to see that it's not additional info.
