stevem5000
My wifes Experian report shows a Sears account that was charged off...This account was not in her name was it was not a joint account, it was in my name only, although she used my Sears credit card from time to time...Sears shows the Responsibility of the account as the "Authorized User", which I suspect means that whomever uses the card is responsible for payment whether or not they have any kind of signed agreement...Sears subsequently filed suit against me and NOT my wife and got a judgement against me...I want Experian to expunge this notation on my wife's credit report...but this "Authorized User" has me confused as to it's legality...Any thoughts or ideas???thanxSteve
admin
The judgment isn't legally binding - you should be able to have it overturned, since you never signed a contract.
