Anonymous
I have a quick question regarding the CRA's validating inaccurate information. If they validate the inaccurate information, and you can prove it is correct, will they just correct the trade line, or do they have to what you request? For example, if you dispute the "open date" as being inaccurate, and Experian verifies the inaccurate date, can you then turn around and send proof that the information is wrong and demand that it be deleted? Do they have to do what you ask, or will they just investigate again, correct the file, or just ignore your information? Any info will be appreciated. kb9tbq
Yes, if you send them the documentation that proves their information is incorrect, they will update on this evidence. The have before - if they don't ask for their verification process.
Anonymous
If I can prove that they are wrong even after they have "verified" the account, can I demand deletion instead of having it corrected?
kb9tbq
Would try one more dispute - so you will have notified them twice, then demand the deletion - think this is the way it is suppose to work.I know that if they reinsert a trade after having deleted once (without proper notification within 5 days) you can demand a deletion. If you give them the proof too soon, they may just update - so skip this and try on more w/out documentation.
