tex5000
I recently received an update on my credit reports regarding info reported by Sherman Acquisitions. Indicates the account was opened on 9/2002 and was discharged through CH7 on 12/17/2002. This is NOT my account, nor did I have a BK in 2002. I disputed this info through Experian twice now, with the info unchanged. Sherman Acquisitions claims it's my account, acquired from Metris Companies who acquired it from someone else (unknown). Experian claims there is nothing that they can do about it...it's up to Sherman. Any advice would be appreciated. Also, anyone know the telephone number to Sherman Acquisitions???? I seemed to have misplace3d it.TIAtex5000 and furious....has cost me a half point in my refinance

smogtek
Hey guys, I used this info when I sent a demand to them to remove a phone bill that OSI sold to Sherman. Alegis owns them.http://worf.usshurdman.com/~hous/common.html?location=/home/common/www/mis67/report.php&bureau=hous&compid=50001350I mailed and faxed my demand to them. Just use one of the numbers from the BBB reports and call. Then ask the receptionist if they are Sherman and get the fax #. It worked for me. Gone in about 2 weeks from my CE report. Got the updated hard report from EX today.HTH [Edit by smogtek on Wednesday, February 5, 2003 @ 07:55 PM]
tex5000
Thanks for the replys. Just got off the phone with Sherman...after 30 mins off holding and continuing to push 1 to continue to hold. Spoke with a David that said his managers told him it would be deleted. They process on the 15th...told him about the .50 point it cost me on my mortgage refinance and he was even willing to fax a notification letter of deletion to my broker. Will update if any of this comes to pass.thanks again
