Shawnimal
I got a tradline from Equifax deleted (Gulf State) on January 13th.My credit alert service just emailed me. It showed up today on my Equifax report.I did a search, but couldn't find a sample letter. I remember reading sometime here, that they have to notify me within 5 days of puting a deleted tradeline back on my report.I need a sample letter to complain. Might wanna check if that's mentioned anywhere when you sign up for the monitoring thingy. Here's the section:§ 611. Procedure in case of disputed accuracy [15 U.S.C. § 1681i]( Requirements relating to reinsertion of previously deleted material.(ii) Notice to consumer. If any information that has been deleted from a consumer's file pursuant to subparagraph (A) is reinserted in the file, the consumer reporting agency shall notify the consumer of the reinsertion in writing not later than 5 business days after the reinsertion or, if authorized by the consumer for that purpose, by any other means available to the agency.Hopefull I'm dead wrong on it though.... :ooh:

Might wanna check if that's mentioned anywhere when you sign up for the monitoring thingy.I canceled my Equifax online account.I instead signed up with www.privista.com because it give me UNLIMITED ONLINE access to my Equifax report and it's cheaper.BUT - In the corner of the site it always says "POWERED BY EQUIFAX" with the EQ logo. So I'm not sure if they are owned by Equifax or not. And if they are... if this counts as notification.

Who is getting unlimited with 1 pull every 24-hours? Is this before EQ updated the terms of the Credit Watch service? kimber6337
Well I didn't know they changed it! I've got the "old" one and pull it everyday.
Shawnimal
New Equifax subscribers do only get 4 a year.... I heard they did this to prevent people from bumping off hard inquires by overloading them online soft inquiries.I recommend Privista.com instead. You get the same Exquifax reports (only cheaper) with no limit, plus credit alert emails. No online disputes. That's my only complaint (and the site navigation isn't as intuitive as I'd like). If you got on BEFORE the change, keep it. When you re-subscribe they may screw you though.[Edit by Shawnimal on Tuesday, February 11, 2003 @ 03:46 PM]

dunky
Be really careful here with Equifax and gulf state. The reinserted this on my report and denied it. I took them to small claims court and the witch of a judge who did not know s...t about credit agencies ruled in their favor. How she did I have no idea. Regardless, right after that neither I nor anyone else was able to access my account for a few months. The tradeline did "curiously" dissapear right afterwards...HMMM...
