CSC / Equifax Web Site for Disputes

Recommended Posts

Yes, they seems that at lest once a year they change all the mailing addresses and phone numbers. Including the ID Theft phone number!!!

Gets hectic here trying to keep my information for consumers updated.

Also use to be with CSC you could get dispute in with out having to purchase credit report first - but as the rest they have changed this.

Yes CSC Credit Services is the affiliate in the midwest section for Equifax - for people in their area they handle all disputes for consumers.

They use to be real good to work with - for sometime they had a phone number to call for disputing (no file # required) but they just recently changed this.

Reading the boards - know a lot of people don't like this company & say they are hard to deal with. Mistakes and complaints of the sort on the disputing side.

They do have a fax number as well for disputing: 281-878-1974

Personally myself, I like this company the best but that is from a credit bureau side. The rep we have is always informitive and easy to work with, pretty open to accepting questions on consumers problems.

I've been working with CSC since I got a credit file. I've really not had any problems, but I do have problems getting things removed from them that others CRA's remove quickly and painlessly. I can't dispute to Equifax, I have to dispute with CSC, who then forwards results and changes to Equifax. Anything reported directly to EQ is reported to CSC - they share all the info..FOR JOY!

I do most of my disputes via phone and about 75% of the reps I've talked to have been very helpful and knowledgable..but that other 25% were just plain GOOFS!

Well I put in a dispute on the CSC website. I don't like it. There is no verification other than you type in your info and click SUBMIT and get a bot back saying: Thank you ! Your request has been submitted and will be processed.

I see this as a big loop hole for delaying investigations. With them writing back needing identification etc. But its a big step for CSC coming online and makes me hopeful for their future.

Will give a call Monday and give feeback on the web site, for improving the dispute section. Let them know there needs to be an area for submitting reason for dispute.

Would suggest others do the same, when getting into customer service complain about the web site needing reason for dispute section.

CSC Rocks!!!

I have gotten inquiries deleted like within 10 days of mailing out a request using a first class postage stamp.

They have deleted lots of excess baggage from my credit report.

I still have a few pesky things to get removed but I know that CSC is a heck of a lot easier to deal with than those other two pig-eyed lying sack of [EXPLETIVE DELETED].

Two ways to go about -

One with the CRA, but remember will definately defeat purpose if you are trying to dispute inquiries with creditors you are already doing business with. ;)

Some also talk about sending letters to the creditors - pointing out that you don't have credit with them, that you did no apply and want them to remove their inquiry off of your credit report.
