Lizzy
After reading and reading, I finally got up the nerve to send letters out.I sent out 3 CM letters today. 2 were DV's and the other I sent to Experian via CM. I just read an older post where it said NEVER to send CM to the CRA's. Did I mess up? I am really nervous now. I feel like a dummy.

I personally like to send them this way so I get the green card back that shows the date the dispute was received. That way, in case they don't complete the investigation within 30 days you have proof.Good luck!!paw67

There are more than 2 ways to skin a cat. [Ha Ha PETA]. Anyways, the method you use will vary on the particular circumstances of the debt (alleged), and what outcome your looking for. Also, your risk tolerance, your assertivness, your patience, all are also factors that will lead you to your "METHOD" for cleaning up your credit. Keep reading and welcome. I think what they mean is that they've been lucky without sending CMRRR, not that it's a mistake to do it. I do it because it's proof and the time it's on someone's desk before being entered into the system chips away from the 30 days. You are better off this way! Now she's also heard it from a 9 star whip lady --- I hope that's intended for CAs and CRAs and not newbies ! :notsure: [Edit by crofttk on Tuesday, April 29, 2003 @ 11:07 AM]
