Help with Experian response Procedure Request

Recommended Posts

Here goes, disputed 4 things online with EXP and all came back verified. I then sent them a letter asking for procedures used to verify. The letter was sent on April 17th and they received it on the 19th according to usps.com. The date stamp from EXP on the green card says April 21 (sounds like they are trying to buy a couple of days). The other day in the mail I receive 2 different letters from them. The 1st one says that they cannot investigate the item(s) because they have already been investigated but it doesn't show what item(s) they are talking about. The 2nd letter says that they cannot investigate 3 items that I asked because I didn't tell them what the problem was. Not sure what to think about the 4th item. Now, what do I do? Is there a follow up letter to a procedure request? I really don't know what to do, but I am getting tired of the games they are playing. The 15 days that I gave them are up so now what?

Also on 1 of the items, it was showing as a Paid charge off. It was listed under potentially negative but once they verified it, they moved it to the positive side. Now it says "Paid in settlement $28 written off". It was scheduled to fall off in 2004 but they now say that it will remain on until 2010. Any suggestions on this one?

Any help is appreciated!

We must have had the same rep handle our accounts that day because I got the exact same 2 letters on Friday. They both said the same thing as yours!

On the account that was changed to 2010 they re-aged that account. They can't do that. You need to send them a copy of an old credit report showing the original fall off date and tell them to fix it!
