OC question

I have a past debt with directv.Been getting com

puter generated phone calls from a CA.This does not show on my current CR (I'd like to keep it that way).I called dtv and told them I would pay

the money owed.How do I make sure that it doesn't

"accidently" get reported after I pay?

Well, if you have made arrangements to pay with the OC and a CA suddenly shows up on your credit report, you just dispute that the payment was made to the OC before being sent to collections. Always try to pay directly to the OC to stop a CA from reporting it and if possible, see if the OC will report (if they have) to paid as agreed, never late. Shot in the dark maybe, but worth a try.
