I have only been a member here for a short time but since finding this board last month I have

Found a great attorney to file against big bad CA

Had The CA and the OC on repo removed from EQ and TU I purposely left it on EX in case attorney needed to have it there. The items were removed by the CRAs themselves due to a nutcase letter I sent them (learned that here! :D )

Had 1 collection account deleted from EX still waitng on EQ and TU, time is up on the 23rd.

The only other collection account I have is a 50$ medical that was changed to 0 bal. I think I may be stuck with that one. Unless someone has an idea to make it go away. I disputed it as wrong balance because it was and they changed it to 0 which is correct.

And I got a letter from Cross Country Bank yesterday they are deleting the late payment from all 3 CRAs! (thank you PF)

Not bad for a newbie huh... :p :p

Everyone one here has been sooo helpful. Thanks .. :D

Good for you on your success!:eek:;):p:cool: :ooh:

Im kinda in the same boat with accounts being updated to a $0 balance. I disputed as not mine and thats all they did

You should try disputing something else such as account # or the DOLA, something else within the account! :D

Good luck!

Just to let you know...I had an old repo on my CR listing a balance of $5000.00. This happened back in 98 (I was a co-signer). I disputed it as "not mine" with Equifax about 28 days ago - I called to check the status of it yesterday, they told me they have not heard anything from the collection agency and if they didn't hear anything by Thursday it would be GONE!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sooo excited AND holding my breath!! :D

Hey C Whitney - Just curious...what was your repo situation like? Did you have a paid deficiency? How long ago was the repo? Trying to decide when to start battling my own repo situation! Thanks! And congrats on the excellent results :)

This repo was from 1997 and it was sold or transferred to CA in 2002. The deficiency was 6941$ and unpaid. I had disputed with CRAs several times as wrong DOLA not mine etc. Always came back as verified by CA ( I am currently suing CA) Sent nutcase letters to EQ and TU threatening to sue everyone and they took not only the CA but the OC off my CR. I had previously filed complainta against this company (CA) with the BBB and the AG in Illinois and Florida. How old is you repo? what about the SOL? The SOL on my repo expired before the CA bought the dam* thing. Talk about a stupid CA. Then they re-aged it on my CR. Oh well, maybe I get money from them instead of them getting money from me.... :D :D :D

If they haven't responded yet it looks pretty good. Is it from the OC? If so they probably wrote it off a long time ago and unless they are vindictive they couldn't care less about the whole thing by now!

:D

Mine was a bad debt buyer with visions of big bucks dancing in its itty bitty brain.. They put the thing on my CR and re-aged it to look like it just happened. :(

I am keeping fingers crossed for you. (makes it tough to type :p ) Let us know how you make out.
