Local Transunion office?

Recommended Posts

Hi everyone,

I'm new here but have read most all threads and subjects on the boards. I saw in my local Yellow Pages that there is a Transunion office in my city. I had an installment account with a local furniture store for 12mos. and i paid it off in full in 6mos. In the meantime, they reported to the CRA that i was late 6 times. This is false. I went to the creditor and demanded they get this off to no avail. But whie i was there they gave me signed on their company letterhead that i was never late with payments and gave me a printout of my account from their computer. I demended these items just in case they didn't remove. My question is, since i have the Transunion office here in my city, Do you think it's a good a ideas to call or go down to the office and dispute these marks on my report? I have disputed with the CRA by mail certified and they keep coming back verified. Give me you guys thoughts. Thanks for all the advice on the board. Helps a great deal.:p

I once faxed some info to TU after coordinating in advance with one of their reps. It actually worked quite well.

I don't see why you couldn't go there in person and give them a copy of your proof.

If you get in AND they leave you alone for awhile, I've got a couple items I need deleted. LOL!

Good Luck.

I've seen from other posts on the board that TU is easier to deal with than other CRA's, but i find it to be one of the worst. This is a 3yr old mistake on my CR. I'll take my suporting documentation and check it out. I'll keep you posted on the results. Are these CRA's spread out in branches in different cities all over US? If so, that would save a lot of us from postage and dealng with so much snail mail. Just a thought...

If you go down there, hand them the information, and they do not remove it from your report, you will not have advanced the ball. Send them a letter, CMRRR, enclosing your information. Then, if they do not remove, you will have created a good record.

I used to have a local TU office, and when I walked in, they asked me what all I wanted to dispute, and they did it on the spot. I loved it. Now, you got to call HQs, and you never know who youre getting, and these people only care about what time is lunch, or when will they get thier checks.

What I noticed, is the fraud alert I had placed on my TU, is still there, even after I faxed in the request to have it removed. I think this is intefering with my disputes and my TU score. It hasn't changed in 3 months now, and I find that as kind of odd, when I had collections deleted, and positive tradelines from the late 90's added. I am going WTF Gus !@#$ !@#$ !@#$
