where do i start to remove verizon charge off

Recommended Posts

Ive got this one stuck on my report too.

I sent Verizon a DV letter and they sent it back asking for an account # or SSN.

And I meant to send back a letter stating that if I did have an account with you, you would have all that info! I shouldnt have to supply it!

Ive disputed this with the CRAs as not mine and wrong balance, but they always come back verified. Good luck to you though ;)

Did the buy old accounts from Cellular One? They are on mine too, all 3 of them, inc in bk. I looked back a few years on reports and it used to say Cellular one. I have them in dispute right now with all 3, so I don't know what will happen. If they verify I am sending a letter of verification to them asap. I will make sure its going to happen around 4th of july holiday, or maybe even xmas.

If anyone has collections with verizon, and they are paid....heres an idea:...if you are still with James Earl Verizon, call them up, and say that if the matter isn't resolved to your satisfaction, that MCI has offered you a sweet deal on local and long distance. I got ALL my verizon negs deleted pertty quickly, and this was long before I joined this board. By the way, I read on another thread that some of us are suckers for paying the items, then disputing. I paid MOST, not all, and had some success getting negs removed afterwards (total of 33 accounts on EX, and 14 on EQ---and a big fat ZERO on TU). I am starting to milk EX as we speak, and what I did was remove all my statements with EX, and now I am going to do the same with TU (TU=Credit Suicide)..I will keep ya posted.
