VeeGee
I found Equifax to be very cooperative when I disputed personal info to be deleted. They deleted my old addresses and a few inquiries. Just from removing the inquiries my score went up in the 700's. They were very nice to me, and immediately after I spoke to them by phone, my report showed the update. Crabjoe
Ericasf,Where did you get the the completion dates? Today I just put in disputes on 3 accounts with them for inaccurate info and I'd like to know when they expect it to be completed.VeeGee,EQ has my current address incorrect and I tried to correct it (they have an apt # listed, when I'm not in a Apt). They wouldn't do it over the phone and told me I had to send them a copy of my DL. My understanding from posts on this site is to not send them information like a DL. I guess, they have the worng address for me then..

Anonymous
Equifax is alot quicker too comply with Fair Credit Reporting Act than Experian and Transunion. Experian is a rather large unethical distasteful coorportation that makes Enron look good. Hopefully you live in the Southeast in which most lenders prefer too use Equifax
Anonymous
VeeGee what number did you call to get them to delete the inquiries?i am at 696 on my EQ and I need to get 700 for my mortgage. I have had no luck getting them to remove a 90 days late error.cjs111@cox.net
Sky Warner
On that 90 day late on the student loans.. you need to send an intent to sue letter to Nelnet on this. They are held JUST AS RESPONSIBLE to the FCRA as a Credit bureau is.. They can be sued for damages.. I wouldnt mess with them. Tell them to get their $hit together or you will do it for themFind out the number for their compliance office and fax your letter as well as sending it CMRR.. I bet they remove it when you get seriousLet us all know
bfre2bme
How did you get in touch with equifax and what did you say? I am new and truly don't know what to say. Which letter would you use or would you call? Appreciate any help you can give me. Thanks
ericasf
I found out the dates and other info for the investigations by going through the motions of filing an investigation online. When it gets to the screen to where you can file the investigation after verifying all of your security info, it shows what investigations are pending.
