Lizzy
My score is horrible on EQ. I was a 625 before disputing, now it is 536 I had some things drop and now my score is way low. Could it be because I pull a report everyday form PG? I have on my updated report a bunch of inq. from Consumerinfo.com. Liz

They should be coded CD-consumerinfo.com which is Consumer Disclosure, if not, they may be listed as hard which is incorrect. It could be that some of your items that dropped added to the tenure of your files. Or what about your utilization, is your balances higher this month than last?

What should I do about the hard inq? That could be why my score dropped so much. Liz
md
I have had no problems with PG and Equifax or Experian with respect to hard inquiries...only TU, which has now disappeared. As already stated, while parts of those tradelines may have been negative, they did establish a credit history for you and may have had a couple years of good payment history adding to your score. Were they showing as open or closed before they came off? Lizzy
The only one dropped from EQ was a charged off providian which was a black mark anyways. Why else would my score drop to 536? I have paid all my bills on time. And I also have very low balances, not even close to my limits. Liz
md
How old was that account? Do you have other open accounts that are that old with a good payment history?
raisingmyscore
Lizzy, your score dropped beacuse you were MISS HOUSEHOLD last month!! lol Your score will bounce right back up there, its a temporary dip.Call EQ and have those INQ's deleted before they actually report the cards for you. Once they show HH on your report, they wont delete the inq's. Your scoree was also inflated because you were in dispute. Always check your score AFTER you redispute. calawyer
That would require rudimentary computer knowledge, Morrow. I can barely type (I actually dictate long emails). Everyone always says I'm a man of few words. Now you know why!
Johnnyc
On a related note, how do you tell if somethings a soft vs hard. I notice lots of inquiry activity on my reports from Eq, Exp, and TU but only some of them show up on PG (the ones I applied for credit and some scumbag CA acitivity). Any way to tell by the way its coded and worded?

If you see it on PG then it is a hard; if it is not there then it is a soft.
