paw67
Ok, I have a couple of questions - 1st, I have a 1st Premier account showing on TU, it was originally listed as a charge off and they have changed it to unrated or bankruptcy, any idea of what that is supposed to mean? I did not file bankruptcy so I am really mad that they have added that notation. When I disputed the account with EQ they deleted, EXP updated to paid for less than full balance (they claim to have written off a whole $28 which is not true but I'm working on that) Any Idea on how to get the bankruptcy notation removed?2nd problem is, I sent dispute letter to TU on April 17th but when I received the green card back it wasn't dated, just stamped with TU name & address. I tried pulling the number up online and it wouldn't work so I took card to local post office. They tried looking it up but had no luck either, they said that the post office that it was sent to (for TU) didn't scan it in so there is technically no record of it. She said that she was going to send my green card back to that PO and have the postmaster walk it through to be signed & dated again by TU and scanned into the computer. I told her that I didn't want that done. I don't want them to get another 30 days to handle the disputes that I sent in, but now I wonder if I should have done that. I do know that they received it because I got the form letter from them - we know you are working with a credit repair company blah, blah, blah. Should I just go by the date of their letter to me in order to figure out the 30 days? I believe that they received it on the 19th or 21st (22nd was a Sunday) because I sent a couple others out on the same day and all were received by the 21st.Any thoughts or suggestions are appreciated. paw67

So I would go by the dated letter you recieved by them. Sorry to hear about that, definately a bummer. Would talk to the Post Office about getting a refund for the service when they obviously did not do their job right.</blockquote>

I did talk to the lady at the post office and they refunded my money.</blockquote> paw67 [Edit by paw67 on Monday, June 2, 2003 @ 08:26 AM] [Edit by paw67 on Monday, June 2, 2003 @ 08:27 AM]
kb9tbq
That is strange about the account being individual and still showing up as bankruptcy. That is an error on the creditors part with reporting. You could approach them directly and make them aware of the problem to help you out. Crabjoe
kb9tbq,I have a Discover account listed as unrated on my TU report (They had 3 different accounts listed for me). When I called Discover, they wouldn't help and just told me to dispute with CRA. TU is a PITA.
kb9tbq
Unrated means that account is not being figured into the scoring system - since the creditor did not include a status for the account. But if it looks negative otherwise you; may have some trial & error disputing to do with TransUnion.Like start out not my account then 2nd time around try incorrect status - but be warned that if the account is negative you might not want what they could possibly update it to show. Like charge off or collection status.Believe me Unrated is better.
Waxworks
TU has sent all the Green Cards back to me, to there they aren't recorded thru the PO, also, it doesnt have a cancellation stamp from teh PO, so I think the mail carrier to TU must be working in behalf of TU, to make the Green Cards untraceable, but a way around that...........REGISTERED MAIL TO TU..........THEY TOUCH IT, IT HAS TO BE SIGNED:D
paw67
Thanks Waxworks, I think I'll try that next time. At least for this time, I have the letter from them that says they received my letter so I will use that date.paw67
kb9tbq
Also would recommend putting in a complaint to the post master about their service. But that is great you found an alternate route in the mean time.Have a good day you two.
