fixerupper
Hi all! I have just gotten the update on DHs dispute with XPN and had a question. Our mortgage company has made quite a few inquiries but they show up under both soft and hard inquiries. I know I can dispute everything, but is it worth it or will I jsut be banging my head against the wall?
Anonymous
There are special rules in place when it comes to Auto Industry & Mortgage Industry pulling credit reports:All inquiries made within 14 day period are to count as just one inquiry, in addition to this these same inquiries will be suppressed for 30 days from affecting the credit score. No - you do not need to dispute soft inquiries, since they are not affecting the score - I doubt the CRAs will allow these to be disputed so just work on bumping the hard ones. WKEMP
HI everyone, new to the board and I have done a stupid thing, recently approved for a home loan I close on the 25th, I stupidly allowed someone to pull my credit. What should I do now. How long does it take for the inquiry to show up? Please help
Anonymous
Usually inquiries show up right immediately - most here have been calling the CRAs and disputing that they don't know who the company is nor did they authorize access to credit report. Experian & Equifax has been workable - think it is TransUnion which most are having problems with though.
