equifax disputes since Apr 2002

Ok, here's the deal. I disputed some collections on my report in April 2002. I pulled my equifax report again today, they are still on my report stating "status unkown, dispute-resolution pending, date reported 4-2002. Those scum bags. I sent them another letter, plus another on line dispute requesting they remove these under the FCRA. I have my receipt showing they received my email/dispute.

I do have a question after all this: AFter I remove all the CA accounts from my CR, how do I go about getting the OC charge offs off my report. I have disputed these with the CRA, but they continue to say "account has been verified". Should I request the information they used to verify these accounts? Or go to the original creditor. Some of the SOLs will be this year. Others not until 2003/04.

Wow, they still have a dispute for you from April 2002? Have you tried calling them to let them know that they are way over their 30 days? I would probably try that and see what happens.

I didn't call, but I did write and send an on-line dispute. Paper trail!!!!
