BrassFan
I have a CC tradeline that's overall positive. However, they reported me as past due for the month of June 2003. My current statement shows that's not the case.I disputed it with the CRA, and it came back verified.Should I send a copy of my statement to the CRA showing it's not past due? wert
From my experience with proving things to CRAs, they will not take it as proof. I have been told time and time again that for them to take proof from the individual, they need a SIGNED letter from the creditor.I would always get some typed name at the end of the letter and they never accepted it. I don't see them accepting your statement as well.Get a letter from the creditor. If not, I think you are spinning your wheels.
BrassFan
Thanks for the info.I did send a letter to the creditor demanding that they update the CRA records to show the error, and to send me a copy of the UDF.I might try sending a copy of the statement to the CRA anyways...just to see what happens..Might get lucky. I just wanted to be sure that there wasn't a reason NOT to do it. Thanks again.
sisflomi
You might try typing up a letter to the cra, then take that and the statment (or copy of statement) to your bank and have it notorized with your signature on it. Then send this certified to the cra. Might help that you went to the trouble to have it notorized.
