Pale Rider
I have 3 chargeoffs I disputed a couple of days ago through CSC's website. When I pulled my PG reports today, I noticed the score went down about 35 points. After looking over the report thoroughly, the only difference I could see, is these accounts now list as "open". They are all chargeoffs from 2 years ago. Has anyone noticed an account status change during disputes such as this? Anyone have any info as to if this is legal? I would think the CRA changed the status since this is new dispute. Thanks in advance.
Capepuffin
When your TL's are in dispute through EQ, they don't figure those TL's anymore into your score until the invesigation is over. I saw a huge increase in my score when I disputed neg. (719)TL's, but once they were verified my score went back to what it was before I disputed (643).EQ is the only CRA to do this. Some peoples score goes down. Especially if it was an old TL.
paw67
I disputed stuff for DH with EQ also and his PG score dropped 14 points (most of the items were from 97/98) but I do know that normally your EQ FICO score goes up while items are in dispute.paw67
Pale Rider
On my previous dispute my score went up 20 points, then adjusted as items were deleted or verified. This time the only difference is the accounts are listed as "open". I could be wrong, but I don't think 3 chargeoffs from 2 years ago would cause score to go down otherwise.
