Waxworks
I have noticed that as of late, when I dispute a neg item with EQ, a positive closed tradeline disappears. Is this standard practice for them to do this, to keep the score even, until disputes are completed, or does EQ delete it, hoping one does not notice the positive disappearing? I sent EQ proof the items were there before, and they responded by stating that I can not dispute info that isn't there. How can they say this, when I have provided them with concrete proof it was there before?
kb9tbq
No, when disputing missing trades - don't write in - call in. And make sure they are not messing with you to twist your meaning in the matter.Another member accomplished Equifax re-adding trade they caused to be deleted, might have been Laura - will try & do search to find out for sure, cause she also get a new fax number along with contact name. sisflomi
This happened to me too. I sent my papers in through fax, with a copy of dl ss card phone bill, mi car registration, and health card. I got a letter yesterday asking for proof its me. During this entire process, been about 3 weeks now, they are changing my birthday every few days. Like my real birthday would be say 1-1-66 they change it to 9-6-28. I called again on the bday, they changed it back to real bday. Two days later it was 9-6-28 again. This has happened every few days for the last 3 weeks. Someone is messing with my report from eq, I know it.
kb9tbq
Next time you have to call in, specifically ask for the source of the information that keeps changing the data on the date of birth. Then hunt down the source to put them straight on the matter.I wonder if it is a creditor that is sending in tapes with incorrect info, but you might be right on someone messing with you with it happening so quickly.Do I remember right - that it is you who has the recent split file? And was it all solely your info or had it been mixed with another idenity? That might be the source of the problem as well,
Waxworks
I had a problem with the birthdate being changes as well, and I know for sure it was an internal thing with EQ, cause my other 2 CRAs were reporting it accurately. Also, I have called in, and spoke to the super of the D Team. I got her name wrote down SOMEWHERE around here. If I find it, I will let you know who it was.
