firsthome
Toyota has pissed me off. I made an electronic transaction with them for $375 from my bank account for August 4. The transaction never went through. So I called after two days and the toyota rep said they have me listed for the payment. I called today becaue my banking account does not show record of the transaction. Toyota claims the bank declined payment because of insufficient funds. My bank says there was enough money to cover the payment and Toyota never submitted payment. Toyota says they have reported the account was thrity days late to the cra and that I have to send them a letter from the bank proving that the funds were available for that day. I ask would they report to the credit bureaus that the account was not late since it was error on their part. He said I probadly gave them the wrong account number and that they can't promise to change the status with CRAs since I was 60 days late on this account. The Toyota rep was so rude. I am feeming. credithound
This sounds familiar with Toyota. Did you use Check over the phone? With me I was in a similar situation with my insurance company. The agent took down the wrong routing number. That counts as insufficient when they ran it through. Luckily they admitted their mistake. All was corrected.
firsthome
Yes, I did it over the phone. I was just going to go to Western Union but the Toyota rep said it was cheaper and faster through their service. I was 27 days late on the account and wanted to avoid the 30 day fees and reporting on my account. My bank has not sent me the letter yet. They promise to mail it off today. TMCC is such a PITA. Earlier this year I paid for a due date change. On the letter it requested that I send the form and account balance and due date change payment to thier Iowa address. The people in Iowa cashed my check but still had me listed as being 30 days late. Toyota has still not changed my due date (this happened in March) not will they remove my thrirty day late status on my cr. The lender says that Toyota late pay is hurting my score since it is such a big ticket item. I am going to write them a letter.
