Doolsey
Is it just laziness and sloppiness or do credit bureaus actually WANT us to have bad credit? Are they and the creditors all in cahoots? So that the creditors can charge higher rates? Is that it?
crofttk
No doubt about it, affirmative to all ! Lazy, greedy and stupid. The CRAs' business is ENTIRELY predicated on bad credit. If we all got it clean, they'd be walking down the road kicking rocks !
thefall
More disturbing is the is the reliance on "credit" to determine things other than one's ability to open a Macy's account i.e insurance, employment, housing -I even read of a judge who, in an effort to determine the "character" of people appearing in his court ran credit reports.Look at cap1, for example and their refusal to report consumers high balance's with the intention of making them appear "less worthy" to competitors. It's the royal scam of the modern age and one almost has to play the game now for reasons I mentioned above.
