Success in removing Paid Collection!

Well, I finally made headway on my Paid Collection which was a bounced check to Fredericks of Hollywood that I paid as soon as I found out about it. After many letters to the collection agency with them being very uncooperative and even threatening to sue me for harrassment I decided to take another route.

I left a complaint on Planetfeedback.com to Fredericks. A customer service rep called and said she couldent help me but gave me a name and phone number of someone in corporate. I called that person, a regional manager of retail sales and told her the story. She seemed sympathetic and told me that she hates collection agencies too. She said that she sent an email to the Vice president of Finance explaining the situation. Two days later I received a phone call from the VP saying that she called the collection agencies and told them to delete the derog. 5 minutes after I get off the phone the manager of the collection agency calls me and apologizes and says that he is deleting the entry and I will get a letter stating that it is to be deleted. I received the letter today. The entry is still there but if it isnt off in a couple of days I will fax it to the CRA's and I am confident it will be removed. I was impressed by the understanding and courteous treatment I received from Fredericks. I should have done this along time ago instead of beating my head against the wall with the CA.

Thank you to all who gave me info about how to go to the OC and ask for deletion and the info about Plantetfeedback.com. I am now trying the same thing with Crapital One.

:D

That is wonderful news, nice to know creditors out there still care about their customers to move mountains like this!

Congradulations!!!

Unfortunately Capital One will be a harder task, but if you say you have persistance - you might go further than others - best of wishes. :-)

Thank you all for your support. The way I figure it is I just need to get in touch with that one person in a thousand at Crapital One that 1)has the authority to change the CRA entry and 2) actually gives a cr**. Your right my chances are slim to none. Oh well, gotta give it a try anyway.

Thanks

:)
