Hey guys:

I have an question?.. My Dw and I plan to start looking for a home in May '04. Would it be to our benefit if we used www.myfico.com to pull our scores which, if I am not worng doesn't hurt our score instead of letting a lender pull our reports which initiates a hard pull? We can then show this info to a realtor and so on. We have been keeping in contact with a potential realto and she HAD never heard of myfico.com or any of the other info that i passed onto her from this board. go figure. My DW credit is great. My fico from EQ is 534 since I last checked. All of my deragatory info is old. A house is what we want and damned it we will get it..........

It would be a good idea to pull your own reports from myfico, black out your ss#'s and take these with you when your ready to apply for a mortgage. The loan officer should be able to give you a good idea of what type of loan you can get with what myfico shows. They will have to pull a report once you are ready to apply though.

What neg items are on your report and dw's reports? FHA is not score driven, they are more looking for the last two years to be reported with good pay history, with no derogs added.

You should go to the mortgage section and put your info out there and ask mortgageman and firstchoice what is your best option.
