Envirotechnic
I was amazed...I did online investigation with Equifax for about 15 lates on 7 different accounts on 9/18. With in about 2 1/2 weeks, I pulled up my PG file and my Equifax was almost perfectly clean with the exception of a few mortgage lates and my credit score went from 574 to 684 overnight! It has since settled back to 667 for whatever reason. My onlines with the other 2 have yeilded me nothing. I plan to do the holiday thing coming up with these two.But was the Equifax thing just a freakish anomaly or were the credit gods smiling down on me that day?Would be interest in knowing if this has happened to anyone else...I mean 2 1/2 weeks! that wasn't even enough time to check all the info out.BTW, I have yet to recieve a letter or anything else from them??? Capepuffin
EQ temporarily inflates your score while you are disputing the neg TL's. It does not add those under investigation into the score. After all have been investigated, it will come back down depending on what gets removed and what stays(gets verified.)Disputing w/EQ is great when you need to temporarily inflate your score, like when applying for a new CC that only pulls from EQ. kb9tbq
Just watch out for re-insertion.. if they fail to notify you within 5 working days.. be sure to write back in to their failure and that you want it taken back off of your credit report.
