bmbowman
I have EQ and TRU both reporting a satisfied Public Record judgement from way back in 98.They both have different case numbers (some one was dyslexic put a 4 instead of a 1) and they both have different amounts, one says I owed 545 and the other 546.Also one has a last activity date of 10/98 and the other 10/99.To be honest I don't have any paperwork on this at all and I am not sure if which one is correct. How do I get the removed? Do I dispute as not mine or that they have in correct data? And the last question...I have another satisfied public record with TU that the last act date was 2/02. I just disputed that one becasue it was showing as not satisfied. (Note I did that before I found this awesome sight). What should I do to get rid of that one?I live in Oregon if that helps any. Thanks for any and all advice!Brad9/24/03EQ 653TU 604EX
sisflomi
Dispute them as not mine first, if they come back then you go for satisfied. How did you dispute the one you just did? And when did you dispute it?
bmbowman
They are already marked as satisfied, I want to get rid of them. I will dispute them as not mine. The other one I disputed last week and now it says satisfied. Also I am trying to get a va loan for a house, should know tomorrow if I am okayed for it. If it is okayed should I wait until the purchasing of the house is done before I dispute anything else or is it safe to dispute them?ThanksBrad
sisflomi
Just remember, it takes about 35 days to complete most disputes. So, if you know tomrrow that you have the loan, you should have just enough time to get things deleted before you close. I would wait till you know if your approved or not first. They might tell you that something needs to be deleted or paid to get the loan. If so, you can try and dispute it off real quick, or get it paid. Talk to lo and ask how they handle neg info on reports.
bmbowman
Everything on the report is paid I just finished doing that before I found this site, so that should not be a concern. The LO said that while there was derogatory information on the report, I had been doing good over the almost last 2 yrs with getting everything paid on time and that they would look at that more. Which is funny 2 yrs ago I divorced my ex.. Hmmm concidents?? I think not... I will never have a joint checking account or cc account again, unless they have better credit than me Brad
