CA replied to DV with partial info

I had a CA reply to a DV request with some info that doesn't make sense, no loan amt, just copy of signature from 1998, bad fax copy at that. Also, the alleged history they sent with the accnt does not make sense. At top of one of the 'history' pages, it states loan pmts as 37 @ 196 (that is $7,252) then history of pmts they are showing adds up to $9135, so as I see it, they owe me $$$.

Should I send letter informing them of that, based on their math? The loan docs they sent never spells out an amt originally owed for the loan, and is really vague, I'm sure there must have been more documentation, but they pulled out the parts they didn't want to send. I know this because the fax pages are not all there (they sent faxed pgs 2, 3 & 5, along with the 8 pgs of what is titled "swift transaction history".

How would the experts proceed?

Well sweet heart.. since you are in Indiana you are sitting pretty on this one.

In Indiana a debt is not valid unless they can provide a FULL ACCOUNTING HISTORY.

Spears V Brennan is the case that established this. If you get a chance read up on it.

If I were you I would send another letter back and tell them this was not validation and you require a total and complete payment history.

My 2 change worth
