hpric
Has anyone seen this before ? I've been disputing this account for several years and have gotten no where. I just checked my report and it changed for "Account transferred or Sold to CONTACT MBR FOR STATUS". I think it is hurting me less than the previous status but has anyone seen this before ? hpric
I have no idea who or what they are.
edubb007
I think you need to find this out. Call the CRA and ask for contact # to MBR. They have to give you what they have. Then call and see if it is a collection agency. If so come back here and follow up and we'll help you from there. I have no clue but am guessing it's a CA. The CA is either on your report with it's full name or hasn't begun reporting yet because it just bought your old account. Just guessing. We'll see.EDubb
new2this
If I remember correctly from several years ago, the notation on your account means "contact member for status". Meaning that you or the company running your credit report would need to contact the member (original creditor) for current status information.MBR=member=original creditor
kb9tbq
Yes I agree with that... meaning that the creditor has further information they want to disclose about the account... to please call them on the matter.
