SINCE THEN FOR ME- COLLECTIONS FOR UTILITY BILL, LATE ON AUTO LOAN, AND CLOSED CC. MIDDLE SCORE 509. HIM- 2 AUTO REPOS IN 2/2000, NO OTHER CREDIT, SCORE UNKNOWN. TOTAL DEBT PER MONTH IS $1000. WHERE SHOULD WE BEGIN? HOW LONG DO U THINK IT WILL BE BEFORE WE CAN PURCHASE?THE PRICES OF HOUSES IN OUR AREA ARE RISING DRAMATICALLY!!!!!!!CANT FIND A NICE HOUSE FOR UNDER $280,000.IF WE DONT ACT NOW, WE WILL BE RENTING FOREVER. Need 1) a middle score that a mortgage broker runs over 500 and rent paid on time for the past 12 months. Proof is either canceled rent checks or if you are renting from an apt complex, then they can verify that. Rent checks are much better however. Everyone should pay their rent either by check or by money order and keep copies of them and receipts. 2) You should wait a while until your credit scores go up. A friend of mine is working on a course to "school" people that are in your situation on how to get their credit history to look good.
