shaunasd
I've been disputing several items with TU. Limited success so far, but I've got the standard form letter on a procedural request, so I'm hoping that leads to something. My question has to do with a particular TL closed in 8/01. Before 9/1/03 this was reporting 2 times 30 days late. Sometime within September they updated and added a third 30 day late for 8/01. Unfortunately this is a double whammy because TU's broken software freezes that status and the TL continues to report status as "30 days late" when before it was "paid as agreed". Because I have other disputes going I have been getting mail from them in the form of new reports and standard form letters. Nothing specific to the addition of this 30 day late note and the status change. Does it sound like I could pin them for this reinsertion or would they claim the new reports suffice for notification? IOW, how specific does the reinsertion notice need to be?

This way they can update to show paid as agreed, without risking that the whole tradeline gets deleted and possibly hurt your score this way.
