Flyguy01
How long does bad checks stay on a CR? I live in omaha,Nebraska. Also if there old enough can I have them taken off by disputing them? I started on the credit repair 101 that's listed here. So far I've had 15 bad checks that i paid but they were coming up unpaid. Wrote letters to the big 3 and EX is the only one that has removed them. Should I send another letter to the other 2 again?ThanksJason
kb9tbq
It is all in general that negative information stays on the credit report for 7 years from the asign date or charge off date... for each of them accounts. Least on these types of accounts.. you are not going to have an original creditor like other accounts to figure up exactly the formula on expiration... unless you can hold them to the month following the date written on this check. You need to dispute individually with each of the credit reporting agencies... sometimes it takes a few tries... sometimes several tries. All about trial and error to see what will get the job done.
