kevinmac_99
Well I'm 33 and a single father with full custody of my awesome daughter Monique whom is 5.I just got all 3 CR from MyFico and my score averages about 515. Man I just screwed my credit up the past 10 years. This place seems like a very useful place for resources and good info. I just don't know where to start at and how to go about attacking these items on my CR. My goal here is to be around 650-680 by July of 2004. Thanks for any input guys and gals.Kevin M. Swede
Welcome to the board, you're in the right place and your goal is most definitely a reasonable one. Just start reading up on the laws, the site and the forums before you start doing anything. When you have questions, ask as much as you want but give as much details as possible and try to keep one issue per posts so it doesn't get too confusing. Good luck! edubb007
Do you have all three CR's? Have you moved to a new address in the past 10 years? If there are debts associated with old addresses dispute them first with the CRA's to be removed. This will cause a ripple in the validation process. That's a sound start! Then come back and ask for your next step!L8REdubb

kbean
good luck kevin!!when i came here in may, i had a 598 (tu)... and no good credit to speak of.now, i have a whopping 670 (tu) and have had the following results2 charge offs deleted.3 collections deletedI have been approved for 110,000 dollar mortgage...AND, I just bought a brand new honda without a cosigner, for 5.74% interest.I had two high interest, high fee credit cards that helped me establish credit and I was able to close those and open with a visa from my credit union at 10% with NO FEES which is much better than the other two.Stay on it, I promise you won't regret it. there are a lot of supportive people here... not to mention a ton of resources!!
