Siren
I just wanted to give everyone on this board a HUGE thank you!I came to this board not knowing a darn thing and simply read and tried to learn everything I could. I learned quick and I think I read everything! When I started I could not even generate a score. MY file was so thin that I only had a few tradelines listed. I made a lot of stupid mistakes (closing credit cards to get out of debt and to stop spending) and I didn't know where to start to re-build my credit.Credithound! Thank you for telling me about American Pacific Bank!I got a secured card with them, fought like hell to get some nasties off my report (did all the primary letters then had to go ITS and I MEANT IT) and they finally caved. Finally, I pulled a FICO after the last one dropped and made the 700+ club across the board!Next thing I did was apply for AMEX Blue online and held my breath.APPROVED!!!!!Thank you all for your advice and help. Credit repair works!
sisflomi
Wow, this is just awesome stuff.Congrats to you and the 700 club. AMX is hard one to get.
Siren
Thanks! I think I was brave enough to apply because I heard that they were totally score driven so I did the instant online approval. I thought they would pull EQ because the odds favored that on whopulledmycredit and that was my strongest score but they pulled EXP. My second highest score but the report with the shortest credit history.

JeanW
Hmmmmm....Just found this forum and haven't started my road to recovery yet... but I already love this place! Out of curiousity, could anyone give figures on date they started credit recovery, what their scores were at the time, and what they are now? Also give some examples of some of the harder problems you had to deal with fixing your credit?Jean
ADSOFT
Read Credit Repair 101 and post your score. Everybody's situation is different. If we know your score we can recommend some approaches.Personally, I came in at 570 now I'm at 670 -690. There are still a few more things I can do do but I'm happy with those scores for now. JeanW
Was just sitting here thinking....When's the last time I felt like anyone cared about me or were willing to help me?And let me just answer myself... its been a darn long time.Every time I turn around, I'm feeling used and abused these days. No help or encouragement from family and friends. And every government agency, business, school, etc. etc. etc. squeezing more money out of me with absurd reasons in every way they can. And it can never be a "decent" amount... its always an obscene amount.Just really nice to come here and find people who REALLY do care and want to help. Was beginning to think such a thing was impossible.Thank you!!!!Jean

sisflomi
Welcome aboard jeanw. We are your new "family" and you won't ever be able to part with us for long. Once you come, your pretty much stuck. Can you say Credit Repair Addict????? Ask all you want, we will do our best to answer. If you have questions or problems that you need help with, post it once in the right forums. Its always best to start you own post, it wont get lost in ths shuffle of a post like this. If you read around or do searches you will find the answer to your question. Some folks post their scores in the sign area like me. My starting scores were all under 500 and they are now all over 600. I started disputes around April, and my numbers have been moving since late may early june.Adsoft, that is by David Lee Roth, and its called I Ain't Got Nobody. Or something like that. How in the world did you dig that song up.SORRY OP For hijacking your thread. Congrats again to you.

Siren
Thanks everyone!Jean welcome aboard. I think you'll learn pretty quickly how you get 'taken' when you don't know or understand the rights that you have.It seems that everyday I learn something new. You'll find that you'll get an idea where to go but you have to customize it to make it fit for you. One size does not fit all!
