kathyinIL
The waiting, I mean. I have several pending disputes with all 3 CRAs that are skinning up on the 30-day limit and they haven't budged! I check CreditExpert and CW Gold every other day or so just to make sure they haven't been updated (LOL), but man, can't they just delete them already? And TU is now my sworn enemy. They are 'verifying' accounts that the OC can't even verify (I don't have any CA accounts, thank god). I sent them a mean PR certified, and have requests at the OCs for letters stating they can't, and didn't verify with TU (the info was removed from EX and EQ), but what do I do if TU won't budge, even with evidence? Sue them?I sent a mean verification letter to Sears on an old, closed account that they verified lates on (2x30, middle of year 2000) with all 3 bureaus. Jerks. Is there anything I can do if they don't verify the late dates? I know they aren't subject to validation, but do they have an obligation to provide me with proof of late payments?Jerks at Household told me via phone in response to PFB that they would remove all lates, but they haven't. I called them again, and twit made noises saying that since I no longer carry a balance (paid off account end of Sept.), there was just nothing she can do for me. Grrrrr. Closed that account, and will dispute the hell out of it until it goes away.Good news tho, I did pay off $3200 in CC debt in the past month, bringing my balances below 60% util. Haven't checked my scores yet, tho PG and CE both say I've gone up 15 points or so. Also, a mechanic friend overhauled the Jeep (for cost of parts and 2 cases of beer ), so I can save the car loan until my credit and employment/business info puts me in the best possible position to get a good loan.I also added a Target Visa (haven't got it yet, but they say it's $1000 balance, not sure of the rate) for rebuilding. After I'm done with this mess, I'll only have 2 good open CC tradelines, so I added an Orchard Bank too ($1250 limit, 13.9% or something). I did join a credit union, and am considering doing a secured installment loan to get some installment history again (my last car loan, besides the one I had deleted, closed out in 1997).Phew! Man, waiting sure is hard sometimes.... Thanks for listening to me vent!kathy
sisflomi
It is over before you know it and your on your way to the next dispute. Watch opening too many new credit cards, as this could hurt the score.Installment is a good thing to throw into what you already have.Hang in there girl, things get easier and faster as you get more advanced with whats going on.I can't seem to keep up with my disputes anymore, not enough time for me in between. kathyinIL
Thanks, Sis. I only opened the 2, and am ready to take the temporary score hit. I don't plan to use them, I'm trained out of using credit cards for life, I think! I will charge sometimes, but pay off right away. Anyways, now I have 6-12 months to worry about getting a good car note, so that's taken some of the pressure off. It's just so aggravating! kathy
Xanathos
TU is the worst...they don't even look at the disputes, methinks. I kid you not, I did a dispute once for Chickie, and they verified an account I didn't even dispute.
DiamondJade
I am starting to hate TU also. I called (stupid me) to check on the status of DH's dispute and mine. It's the same account on both our CR's and the CA has ignored repeated attempts to validate. EQ has already deleted it, within the 30 day time frame and sent a copy of each updated report. Nice nice. But EX and TU are just SITTING ON IT! It's sooo aggravating! I faxed them the copy of the letter I sent them after the 30 days was up, and only then did they start the investigation, which means they're trying to give themselves 68 days total, before they have to delete. It is especially frustrating, because we wanted to move and now we are waiting to get this erroneous account off our CR's so we will qualify for the rental! Agh! Jerks! ok rant over. : ) - Jade
momof5
Tu doesn't make any sense! For some of us, you even mention the word delete and POOF! It's gone! As a result, I have only 3 TLs on TU. Others can dispute till the cows come home and they stand their ground. I wonder if there is a RNG that picks who gets their stuff deleted and who doesn't!???? Frove1
Can't you send them a summons and complaint to get them moving if they have violated the law you are suffering damages at their doing.
nativechild48
File complaints with the FTC and follow up and contact your AG's, and Banking commissioner, because they have more important agenda's like selling your info to debt collectors and allowing hard copies to CA's that buy bad debts

I am in a similar predicament, but with a different company. Do you think I can tell them to show me proofs that I was actually late, or do you think it is better doing the GW letter thing. I am getting really frustrated. First round of dispute with experian, all came back verified.
