YMBD
I filed on 10/9/03 and received a case #. My question is does the trustee have a copy of one of your credit reports in front of them when questioning you? How would they know if you left a creditor off your petition? Just curious! LadynRed
No, the Trustee will NOT have that information. There is no way for a Trustee to know if you've left off a creditor, BUT, when you sign those papers you are basically under oath that what you've filled in is truthful. Adding creditors can be done almost up to discharge and sometimes afterwards. Its up to YOU to include all the creditors. Even if you're not sure, ADD IT anyway. People leave off creditors by mistake all the time. Deliberately doing so would be not looked upon favorably by the court.
YMBD
Thank You.I'm asking because I have an account w/FNBM, no balance was on it at the time i filed but there is a $7.50 monthly fee added each month. I want to pay it and cancel the card, more then likely I will have to pay for Nov/Dec also since this is a annual fee charged monthly. I did not want to add it since:1-The lawyer charges $300 to add creditors to your petition 2-It would be closed and paid before I attend my 341 meeting.I'm trying to figure is it worhwhile to pay the $300 to the lawyer or pay the $22.50?
